Location: Ghirardelli Square & Beach Street Enjoy the vendors on Beach Street and claim your complimentary beer after the race! The Beer Garden will open at 8:00am at San Francisco Brew Co upstairs in Ghirardelli Square. All 5K and Half Marathon participants 21+ can enjoy a post-race beer at SF Brew Co. A physical ID is required to enjoy a beverage at SF Brew Co, no exceptions. Last call at 10:45am.

PACKET PICK UP
All participants are required to pick up their race packets at the Race Expo, which is free and open to the public. Participants will pick up their race bib, event shirt, race tote bag, and other goodies including an exclusive runner discount at Sports Basement.
Expo Arrival Information
30 bus line has a stop conveniently in front of Sports Basement Presidio. You can use the Trip Planner to find the correct public transportation plan for your trip to the Race Expo.
Coming from Downtown SF? Take the Presidio Go Shuttle Downtown Route to connect from Downtown to the Presidio Transit Center for free in only 25 minutes. Pick-ups are available near the Salesforce Transit Center, Embarcadero BART, and Van Ness/Union Street.
Parking is extremely limited due to new construction. Please consider carpooling or taking public transportation. Parking at Sports Basement Presidio is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to park at one of the lots listed below for the Packet Pickup/Expo.

Packet Pick-Up FAQS
If you are unable to attend the Race Expo you may purchase Race Day Packet Pick-up and pick up your items on race morning in Aquatic Park close to the Finish Line. Race Day packet pick-up opens at 5:30am.
Visit your ACTIVE MyEvents account, find your Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K entry, click “Purchase merchandise”, and add Race Day Pick-Up to your entry for $28.

Yes, please send your proxy with a copy of driver's license (digital picture is OK) and your confirmation email to expedite the pick-up process. Proxies may only pick up packets for up to 3 people.
Yes, you may switch distances, if there is still capacity. Please email info@rungoldengate.com to switch distances prior to Thursday, October 30th otherwise please visit the Solutions Table at the Race Expo to make this request.

HALF MARATHON FAQS
Opens at 5:30am – All items must be picked up before 10:30am
Gear check will be located in the street near the intersection of Beach Street and Hyde Street
This is the primary pre- and post-race staging area and is a short walk to the start line.
Gear check will not move during the race. Clear gear check bags will be provided on race day. You may also check your own bag, backpack, or smaller.
You cannot check luggage at Gear Check.
Aid stations will be located near the mile markers listed below.
There will be water and Gatorade Electrolytes provided at all aid stations:
Half Marathon – Miles 1.4, 3.7, 5, 7.2, 9, 11.7
Honey Stinger Energy Chews will be provided on the half-marathon course at Mile 4 and 9.
Portable restrooms will be at each aid station.
There will be pace groups from the Run Club SF in the half-marathon with the following goal finish times:
Half-marathon:
1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00
The half-marathon has a strict course time limit. In keeping with the guidelines of our race permit, there will be three course cut-offs that will be strictly enforced.
Those maintaining a 18:32 minute-per-mile pace will be able to complete the course without missing any course cut-off points.
Please see below for exact times and locations of the cut-offs.
• Cut off #1: 8:20am – Must be to the Golden Gate Bridge east pedestrian path by this time to cross the bridge (just after the Mile 4 mark)
• Cut off #2: 8:52am – Must be to the Vista Point cut-off by this time, otherwise participants will be detoured to the catwalk to reach the west side (just before the Mile 6 mark)
• Cut off #3: 9:20am – Must be to the west-side of the bridge by this time, otherwise participants will be transported back to the south side of the bridge via shuttle (just after the Mile 7 mark)
The top 3 male, female, and non-binary finishers overall will receive an award.
The top (1st) male, female, and non-binary finishers in each age group will receive an award.

Those that have paid for Race Day VIP access will be able to enjoy a private area at Broad Street Oyster in Ghirardelli Square beginning at 5:30am.
One of the perks of Race Day VIP is race day bib pick-up which means that you can skip the Race Expo and go to VIP directly on race morning to pick-up your race number. Race Day VIP perks include private gear check, private restrooms, morning refreshments, lunch, and (2) additional complimentary beverages.
Those that have paid for Race Day VIP will receive an email on Thursday with additional information about the VIP experience.

There are various transit lines that pass close to Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, including bus lines 19, 28, 30, and 49. Use this guide to help plan your trip to the start of the race.

If you're getting dropped off, please use Ghirardelli Square as your point of reference. You will be able to access the start line via a short walk.
